Safeguarding & Welfare

At Pro Champions Football Academy (PCFA), the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people is our highest priority.

PCFA is fully committed to ensuring that football is played in a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for all participants, regardless of age, ability, gender, ethnicity, disability, religion, or background.

We work in line with the safeguarding policies and procedures of The Football Association, and expect everyone involved with the academy to share this commitment.

Our Safeguarding Commitment

PCFA is committed to:

  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children

  • Providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment

If you have a concern about the welfare or safety of a child at PCFA, you should:

  1. Report the concern immediately to the Club Welfare Officer

  2. Provide clear and factual information about:

    • What you have seen or been told

    • When and where the incident occurred

    • Who was involved

  3. Allow the Club Welfare Officer to take the appropriate action

If the concern involves the Club Welfare Officer, or you feel the matter has not been addressed appropriately, you can contact your County FA Safeguarding Team directly.

Parents, Players & Coaches Responsibilities

Everyone involved with PCFA is expected to:

  • Act in the best interests of the child

  • Treat others with respect and dignity

  • Follow FA and PCFA Codes of Conduct

  • Challenge inappropriate behaviour

  • Report concerns, even if unsure – it is better to report than ignore

Football should be a place where children feel safe, supported, and valued.
